Curious about what happens at Girls in Aviation Day? Dr. Mary Warren of Road Warrior Wellness had a chance to film a brief tour at the start of Girls in Aviation Day 2023 at the National Aviation Education Center. It’s a day filled with excitement, learning, and inspiration. Attendees had a chance to see many commemorative quality aircraft as well as opportunities to learn about career paths and opportunities from experts in their fields on this day of aviation.
In her video, Dr. Warren sets the stage with the stunning Diamond Lil, a B-24 that’s turning heads, and the awe-inspiring FiFi, a B-29. These aircraft are just a glimpse of what girls ages 8 – 18 got to experience in the day of aviation.
The event wouldn’t be possible without sponsors. Boeing, the 2023 grand benefactor, was there to support and inspire future aviators. Airbus helicopters, a titanium benefactor, was also on hand.
But the support doesn’t stop there. Diamond sponsors, including Million Air, Piedmont, U.S. Aviation Academy, and more, came together to make this day a success. Their dedication to Girls in Aviation Day was commendable.
American Airlines and its extended family, including JSX, Envoy, and the Dallas Police Department, joined Women in Aviation, North Texas Chapter, for an action-packed day. The Air Force Academy and Air Force Band also added their unique flair.
