What is your jet fuel?
What do you do to get yourself out of stress, especially when you’re traveling? Because as we know, travel, especially work and business travel is very stressful. So what is your go-to? What do you do to get yourself happy when you’re feeling stressed out?
Some of us know that biochemically when you’re stressed, cortisol is high and serotonin is low. And as soon as you move your muscles, the inverse of that happens. Yeah. So with muscle contraction and exercise, your cortisol goes down, your serotonin goes up. Serotonin, of course, is a feel-good neurotransmitter and is involved with a lot of quiet and calm and just general good well-being. So I would really recommend you find ways to make yourself feel better when you’re stressed in particular. It’s always helpful. And we’re walking into a really stressful time of year. So whether you’re the Dallas Mavericks about to board a plane, or a person driving a fuel tank, or just simply a business traveler trying to be healthy, find ways to get yourself happier and healthier through good movement and motion.
